Çelebi Ground Handling

Located at Istanbul Airport, the Çelebi Cargo Building is a 25,000 m² facility combining large-scale cargo operations with administrative and management offices. Completed between 2018 and 2019, the project involved architectural design and project supervision, integrating reinforced concrete and structural steel systems to accommodate the building’s functional and structural requirements.

Beyond the technical demands of a major logistics facility, the project placed particular emphasis on the quality of the working environment.

The cargo management offices, located on the upper floor, were conceived as a dynamic and contemporary workplace. A vibrant yet carefully composed colour palette was introduced to bring energy and character to the interiors, creating an engaging atmosphere that encourages motivation and a positive working experience.

Indoor gardens were integrated into the office environment as an essential element of the design, introducing nature into an otherwise highly operational setting. These green spaces provide visual relief from the intensity of daily logistics activities and contribute to a more welcoming, balanced workplace.

The project reflects an architectural approach in which operational efficiency and human well-being are considered equally important, demonstrating how even a large-scale industrial facility can offer a thoughtful, inspiring environment for the people who work within it.
