MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION BUILDING
Istanbul Airport, Türkiye | 8,000 m²
The Çelebi Technical Maintenance Building & Offices at Istanbul Airport is an 8,000 m² facility designed to accommodate technical maintenance operations and administrative workspaces within a unified architectural structure.
Combining reinforced concrete and structural steel systems, the building was conceived to respond to the technical and operational requirements of an airport facility while establishing a distinctive architectural identity.
Corporate identity played a central role in the design approach. Colours were carefully selected in accordance with Çelebi’s visual identity, creating a consistent relationship between the building’s functional character and the company it represents.
Given its prominent visibility from the airport apron, particular attention was devoted to the architectural expression of the exterior. A distinctive façade composition incorporating different shades of green was developed to give the building a recognizable presence within the surrounding airport infrastructure.
Rather than approaching the project as a purely utilitarian structure, the design sought to bring together technical functionality, corporate identity and architectural expression.
The result is a contemporary maintenance and office facility in which the demands of aviation operations are balanced with a strong and carefully considered visual identity.
